Below, we describe the MTA courses by the sending institution. These courses were evaluated based on the distribution needs of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). Other schools and higher education institutions have different requirements for the transmission of MTA course certificates and different requirements from the courses required for admission. Students who move to the WSU in the fall of 2018 and beyond with MTA will have met all of Wayne State`s general education requirements. Students who move to Michigan Tech at the end of the MTA are expected to meet the general educational and educational needs that remain necessary to complete their program. The Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) was designed to facilitate the portability of basic university courses from Michigan colleges to Michigan universities.
Students who pass the 30 Credit Hour MTA at Michigan Community College can transfer the 30 credits to meet some of the general education needs at the Michigan University of Technology. Students who do not complete the full course package required by the MTA receive credit for the courses they take, based on individual course evaluations and established transfer equivalencies. As MTA courses apply to Michigan Tech students who move from their Community College to Michigan Tech with MTA confirmation, MTA credits for general education requirements for a bachelor`s degree are applied as follows: Mitransfer.org is the new Michigan Transfer Network site. The Michigan Transfer Network allows students to search for equivalencies between Michigan colleges and universities. Mitransfer.org contains a lot of information for transfer to the state, including FAQs on transfer and links to individual community colleges with transfer information, including the MTA. Additional courses in each category above to complete the minimum of 30 credits. A minimum score of 2.0 is required for each course. Students can benefit from courses taught by more than one university to meet the MTA, including courses at EMU and transferred to community schools. The Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) was mandated in the fall of 2014 by the Michigan Legislature to replace the MACRAO agreement. The MTA allows the transfer of 30 credits of basic general courses in Michigan to a Michigan bachelor`s college or university.
Students can complete the MTA as part of an associate degree or as a stand-alone package. MTA courses are approved by Community College.
